Merlin A. Henkel

Now President and Chief Executive Officer of Virginia Business Bank, Mr. Henkel was formerly President of the Richmond Region for Resource Bank, and was also President and CEO of MainStreet Bank - Central. Mr. Henkel served as Executive Vice President of lending, then as President and CEO of Regency Financial Shares, Inc. and Regency Bank from 1989 to 1998, prior to its sale to MainStreet Bank.

Thomas L. Hotchkiss

Mr. Hotchkiss is Chief Credit Officer of Virginia Business Bank. He is Managing Director of the Hotchkiss Group, LLC, a financial advisory firm, and most recently engaged in a consulting role as the Chief Credit Officer of Consolidated Bank and Trust Company, Richmond, Virginia. Prior to forming the Hotchkiss Group, LLC, Mr. Hotchkiss served in senior credit functions for BB&T, MainStreet Bank and Signet Bank (now Wachovia).

Donald O. Allen

Mr. Allen is President of D.O. Allen Homes, Inc., a Richmond-based homebuilding company, with operations in Virginia, North Carolina and Florida. He is also President of Wen-Rich, Inc., a franchisee of Wendy's Old-Fashioned Hamburgers operating 11 Wendy's in Richmond, Virginia and ten stores in Atlanta, Georgia.

Warner L. Blunt, III

President, BRD Management Corp., Mr. Blunt is Sole Acting General Partner for Builder Resource and Development Co., LLP, a residential real estate investment partnership that buys and develops lots to be improved in joint ventures with local builders. He is also a Partner in B Square Management Corp., which provides administrative and financial management to Builder Resource and Development Co.

Michael B. Cashwell

Mr. Cashwell is Chief Financial Officer, and a former Trustee, of Union Theological Seminary and Presbyterian School of Christian Education in Richmond, Virginia. He was the founder, president and CEO of SterlingSouth Bank & Trust Company in Greensboro, North Carolina. He also served as a consultant to the organizers of Carolina Commerce Bank in Gastonia, North Carolina.

Freddy J. Cobb

Mr. Cobb is CEO of Cobb Technologies, Inc., a distributor of document imaging products with offices in Richmond, Roanoke, Lynchburg, Charlottesville and Tidewater. He is also a private real estate investor.

John W. Fain

Mr. Fain is Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for UPS Freight, a $1.7 billion overland carrier. He has also served as the company's General Counsel, Vice President of Planning and Vice President of Operations.

Theodore S. “Ted” Hanson

Mr. Hanson is Chief Financial Officer of Apex Systems, Inc., a Richmond-based technical staffing and recruitment firm with 20 offices across the country. Prior to that, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Property Technologies, Ltd. CPA.

Susan Q. Hogg

Ms. Hogg has been President and Managing Partner of circle S studio, a strategic branding and marketing firm, since 1999. Prior to that, she was the founder and owner of Creative Associates, a marketing communications agency.

Mark J. Hourigan

Mr. Hourigan is Owner and President of Hourigan Construction Corporation, a full-service general contracting firm with operations in Richmond and Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Elaine R. Jordan

Ms. Jordan is an attorney with Sands Anderson Marks & Miller in Richmond, where her practice areas include construction and real estate litigation. She was a founding director of Metro County Bank, where she served on the loan and compensation committees. Following the merger of Metro County Bank with Southern Financial and a subsequent purchase by Provident Bank, Ms. Jordan served on the advisory boards of both successor banks.

Frank B. “Bunkie” Miller, III

A principal in the law firm of Sands, Anderson, Marks and Miller, LLC, Mr. Miller is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and the Virginia Law Foundation. He is also the former chair of the Virginia Association of Trial Lawyers, and a member of the Bar Association of Richmond and the Virginia State Bar (former Chair of Committees on Legal Ethics and Discipline). Mr. Miller formerly served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Regency Financial Shares, Inc. and Regency Bank. He was also Chairman of the Executive Committee for Regency Bank, and was a member of the Credit Committee.
